I’m super excited to share my first short scripted film Redmond Hand, Private Dick with some stills and illustrated storyboards. We shot in Summer 2016 and so far it has played at: Slamdance, Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival, MiFo LGBT Film Festival Miami, LA Film Festival, Mammoth Lakes Film Festival, Outfest LA,Oak Cliff Film Festival, Bushwick Film Festival and NewFest. The film premiered online with Vogue.com and has been featured on AdWeek and Creativity.

Here’s a little synopsis on our crazy film: Redmond Hand (Felicia “Snoop” Pearson from The Wire) is a detective with simple needs – hard liquor, legendary outlet malls, condo fires, soft women, to name a few. So when a beautiful seductress enlists her help to find a missing cactus, LA’s most notorious private dick is quick to take the case. To her own peril. Red is quickly caught up in the seedy world of Echo Park’s underground cactus scene, and finds herself facing some dangerous demons – both imagined and real. Will she find the missing cactus and end up with the heart of a beautiful woman? Or will she die at the hands of a drag queen (Katya Zamo from RuPaul’s Drag Race) or some kind of nightmare laser-baby (my infant daughter)? The answer might surprise you. (It’s the second one. She dies.)
